Well, this story is somehow a little late to be told... but this story has always give me the warmth of love that I wish to share with u guys~~
Last winter 2011/12, me and my friends went to UK and Ireland for our own little Jaulah Shitawiyyah.
This was my first experience going on jaulah because usually during holidays, we went to other countries for sightseeing, maniac-shopping spree with ridiculous non-stop photo shooting and filling our stomachs until it reached our esophagi. Those kind of vacations were so much fun, exhilarating, and really refreshed our mind after months of studying and struggling our heart out to cope with Russians and their aggressiveness, weather of way below the freezing point and our own limited abilities of cooking. But, somehow I realized that it never really fulfill what my soul needed.
So, this Jaulah means so much to me and will forever be one of the sweetest memories I am proud to tell everyone. Because it has marked a different history inside of me and somehow changed my view of life to the better.
One of the things that I remembered the most during this Jaulah was what people called unconditional love :)
I always believe that unconditional love only happened when we are blood-related especially when we are family but somehow I stand corrected..
Before we went to Ireland, one of my seniors could not reach the person who her house we are going to stay at during our holidays in Ireland because they are having their final examinations...
Therefore, with nothing but only the address of that house, we headed our way to Ireland anxiously...
When we arrived at the airport, we seemed a little bit lost and were kind of confused on what to do next..
after passing through the customs and collecting our luggage, we went out to hire a taxi or ride any public transport to that house..
Luckily, we saw 2 Malaysian muslimahs sitting at the arrival... “hmm...maybe they can be of some help??”
So, we gathered our courage and with the sweetest smile we can pull of, we walked towards them to ask for their help and the direction to the house..
It happened that these 2 muslimahs were actually waiting for us!!
I was astounded and flabbergasted
Can you believe this?? They didn't even know at what time we will arrive and doesn't even have our contact numbers!!!they also didn't know us and obviously they didn't know how we look like!!
they somehow just waited there and put all their faith in Allah that they will meet us...
and only Allah knows how long they've waited there...
I felt like crying...thank you Allah~~ thank you sisters~~
During my stay in Dublin , the sisters of Dublin had showered me with love and warmth abundantly that I don't know how to repay them...
Even most of the sisters around Dublin came to pay us a short visit although they live quite far away...
They are so friendly, lovely, caring and they really took a great care on us that I felt like being home..
they cooked for us in every meals, and even provide us with an extremely delicious fried pasta for us to bring during sightseeing...(we need to left before dawn because of the bus timetable..and obviously they woke up earlier to make that pasta)
We have a little bit of sharing the next morning, at that time, I felt so close to them...
I grow to love them so much that in 2 days, I don't feel like going anyway at all...
Ya Allah, how can someone sacrifice so much for somebody that they didn't even know??
Ya Allah, it is really a miracle how I can love them and miss them so much even at this very time even though I stayed with them only for two days...
Ya Allah, only You knows how sad and heartbroken I was when I need to part with them...
- ".. if you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have brought their heart together. Indeed, He is Exalted in Might and Wise"[al- anfal; 8:63]
Because Allah is the One and Only that hold our hearts and instilled the love to His believers...
- The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy. (Al-Hujurat 49:13)
-
- Because all of His believers
- are brothers and sisters
- even though we are worlds apart
- We are always together by heart..
At Ireland, we didn't went to many places due to the limited time...we spent 1 day sightseeing in Galway and the next day we went to Trinity College to snap some pictures...
However, my heart is filled with joy and contentment that can't be described with words....
Thank you Allah..thank you Allah..thank you Allah
for allowing me to taste the sweetness of ukhuwwah
may we stay strong and istiqamah..
my dear sisters, till we meet again in Jannah :)
p/s: Thank you so much to all the sisters I met in Dublin, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester and London...only Allah can repay your kindness...
